Taylor's Story

I finally got a shot of Taylor's teeth. He is up to four teeth, two on top and two on bottom. Two more are starting to peek through on the top.

The doctor said Taylor was too skinny but I just think he is going to be like his dad-skinny! I also don't think he looks that skinny and I see how much he eats everyday - he is a pig!

This is Taylor's favorite thing to do right now. He loves the fridge and to see what is inside. He thinks the best way to look around is to climb right in and get a close up.

RSV

Our sweet little buddy has RSV. I was worried about him the last few days so I called the pediatrican yesterday but the nurse was sure it was just a common cold. I didn't worry too much because today Taylor had his 9 month check-up and the Doctor could look at him then.

This morning Taylor woke with his eyelashes stuck together and just not looking happy. He also had a rash across his chest and back. Well we went to the Dr. at 2pm and Taylor coughed while we were there and the doctor asked me if that is how he has been coughing the last few days. I said "yes." He then informed me that is a RSV cough and the goopy eye is an eye infection and the rash is a symptom of the virus. Unfortunely, there is nothing we can do to help him. Hopefully, it doesn't get worse.

I do have to say that even through all this nastiness that Taylor has he is a happy little boy. He has a little whimper that he makes when he wakes up from coughing and will go back to sleep with a little comforting. During the day he goes about playing and beating up on the dogs. We love him so much.

Grandma Helen

Grandma Helen passed away on December 31st. She will be greatly missed. It is always hard to lose someone so special in your life but I know she is happier where she is now. I will always remember her and how much she loved her family.

Merry Christmas

Christmas was so much fun this year with Taylor. He really wasn't into it that much but it was fun to shop for him and for him to love ripping the wrapping paper. He got so many fun things from Santa and everyone else. Santa gave him a wagon full of legos, a football and basketball, a new bath toy and a sucker. Grandma & Grandpa Bramhall gave him sled that Mom & Dad can pull him around in. Grandma & Grandpa Draper gave him a car, stackable toys and books. Cindy gave him a Build-A-Bear Monkey and Sierra a pop-up ball toy.

Dave got a recipicating saw, sunday shoes, running clothes and more. Tracie got hiking shoes, two new jackets/coats, a new sweater, "Bourne Ultimatum," and three new books to read.

We had such a great time and Grandma & Grandpa Draper's. Thanks for everything.

Little Carter Lee Bramhall

Bob and Emily had their first son on Friday, December 7. He was 7lbs 7oz and 19 inches long (I hope that is correct). He is so tiny and so cute. We got to see him for the first time on Tuesday and Taylor was not sure what to think. I realized I don't have a baby anymore. Taylor is huge compared to Carter. Congrats Bob and Emily!

Yum Yum Cookie!

Taylor found a cookie at Grandma Draper's. He was so excited to eat it. Don't worry-I didn't let him eat the whole thing.

Taylor is Standing!

We have a problem - Taylor is standing up on his own - which means he will be walking soon. Last week Dave was getting his bath ready when he crawled over to the edge of the tub and pulled himself up to see what was going on. Ever since he tries to find places where he can pull himself up. He has discovered that the edge of his crib works great. Now when he wakes up and I walk in his room I find him standing. It is time to lower his mattress.

The last few days he has learned that if he pulls himself up holding onto the edge of the laundry basket he can push it around. We are in serious trouble. With this standing up and walking he has also learned about falling down. He has hit his head a lot this last week while trying to stand up on something that is not stable.

Wish us luck with this next step in Taylor's life.
