Yum Yum Cookie!

Taylor found a cookie at Grandma Draper's. He was so excited to eat it. Don't worry-I didn't let him eat the whole thing.

Taylor is Standing!

We have a problem - Taylor is standing up on his own - which means he will be walking soon. Last week Dave was getting his bath ready when he crawled over to the edge of the tub and pulled himself up to see what was going on. Ever since he tries to find places where he can pull himself up. He has discovered that the edge of his crib works great. Now when he wakes up and I walk in his room I find him standing. It is time to lower his mattress.

The last few days he has learned that if he pulls himself up holding onto the edge of the laundry basket he can push it around. We are in serious trouble. With this standing up and walking he has also learned about falling down. He has hit his head a lot this last week while trying to stand up on something that is not stable.

Wish us luck with this next step in Taylor's life.

A Box

Taylor has a new favorite toy or should I say item. Cody and Natalie brought a box to our home and it was sitting on the floor when Taylor discovered it. He crawled over to it and played with it forever. Dave and I kept the box around and one night put him in it with a few toys. He played in it for an hour. He loves it. It is amazing what can entertain him. Dave loves it because he believes in anything but toys. He wants his kids to use their imagination with house hold items. Why spend money on toys when a box for free will entertain him longer than a $20 toy from Wal-Mart.

First Tooth

Well on Friday, November 23, Taylor got his first tooth. I tried to take a picture of it but he would not hold still enough. I really didn't think that he would get teeth for a few more months and wasn't expecting it because he wasn't acting any different. He has been chewing on everything since he was 3 months old, so him chewing on a necklace for one hour didn't seem out of place. He did whine a little bit on Friday but I believed it was from lack of sleep. On Thursday, Thanksgiving, he was so overwhelmed by all the people and action that he only took one nap all day (he usually takes 4) and we had him up from 12:30am to 2:00am on Black Friday shopping at the Park City Outlets. Therefore, I contributed the whinning to lack of sleeping not teething.

My mom mentioned that she thought he was teething and when I fed him a cracker sure enough there was a tooth in his month on the bottom.

He is growing up so quick! His first tooth is here. It wasn't that bad either. I hope the rest of his teeth don't bother him enough to complain. We will keep our fingers crossed.

Taylor Crawling

I thought it would be fun having a video of him in his first stages of crawling. I taped this two weeks ago. Now he can move all over the place.

Taylor's First Sucker

For Halloween Taylor got to have a sucker at the end of the day. At first taste, he was in love. He just kept going back for more.

Finally we decided that he had had enough and took it away. He was not very happy about that!

Taylor Carving his Pumpkin

Taylor did a great job on his pumpkin for his first Halloween.
