Blessings

We blessed the twins on July 12th. Dave gave them beautiful blessings. I feel blessed to have such an amazing husband who was able to give them those blessings. (That is a lot of blesses!)

Thanks to all those that came and supported us. We have amazing families.

BUSY BUSY BUSY

I have to keep myself busy to keep myself sane so here are a few of the things that we have done the last couple months.

Dinosaur Museum with the Staheli's, Kace and Isaac.
The Hogle Zoo with family and the Smiths.
Boating with the Smiths. We left the twins with some amazing babysittters, so we could have a night out with Taylor. Crazy enough he cried and was so upset that we left the twins.
Campfire with the Derricks.
Discovery Garden at Thanksgiving Point with the Smiths.

The 4th!

We had such a great time on the 4th of July, I wanted to make sure and post about it. Our amazing friends, The Smiths, invited us to breakfast at Brighton. I did not know what to expect but I was wanting to get out of the house and thought that sounded fun. Dave went biking at 6am up Big Cottonwood Canyon so he met us up there at 9am.

It was so much fun. We had breakfast, watched a parade (it was small but cute and there was lots of candy, Taylor thought that was cool), and walked around the lake at Brighton.

Then we all needed naps so we crashed and got in some good rest. Then that evening we got to party with the Derricks (and the Brown family) which is always fun. Thanks to them. We had a BBQ and watched the Thanksgiving Point fireworks.

All of the children were very good the whole time, which made me happy. Taylor loved the fireworks and got to play with this first sparkler. Unfortunately he hit another sparkler, as a child ran by, and burned his finger. It was pretty sad.

Here is our little Lana- I love that she is smiling!!

And Drew... So True always sleeping, by far the easier of the 2!!

Here is a copy of the announcement...

Sorry this is another Dave post... soon Tracie will be back at it...she is much better than I am!!

Things to Remember

These are things that I have not posted about and would like to remember. Taylor and I had the oppurtunity to go to Thomas the Train in Heber. We went the Friday before the twins were born.

A week or two ago our friends, Chris and Aimee, came over and we had burgers. What do you think about these?

Our first family picture! Lana is our screamer.

Strong Babies!

So, I have noticed that my twins are very active and very strong. They hold their heads up well and move a lot. When Lana gets upset she is a wiggle worm. She can really move. At her 2 week appointment the nurse had a hard time holding her in place. I was really impressed with their strength but what really amazed me was Lana rolled over last week. I thought maybe it was a fluke but she has rolled over 2 more times and Drew rolled over last night. What am I going to do with these little movers. I can not believe they are already rolling over. I will have to keep watching them to see if they keep it up, I am not sure they will. It is sad I am already nervous to leave my newborns on the couch or bed.

Family of 5!

For those who know us, know that we don't sit very well. We have had lots of outings enjoying our time together as a family of 5. We have gone to Wallsburg, Heber, our ward party, the pool, church (we left the twins home with Grandma), Thanksgiving Point Farm and other small outings. We have tried to continue to have fun for Taylor's sake. Thanks to all those who have helped out. We love you all. Here are a few pictures of visitors, the pool and our outing to Wallsburg.

The twins are being very good so far. Of course we are getting a ton of sleep at night but they go about 4 hours at night and they eat at the same time. I don't think it is to bad. Being a mom of twins is, so far, is easier than I expected. I am sure I will have some really bad days but so far so good. I have had a lot of help though. When I am finally by myself that will be a new experience and I might complain a lot when that time comes. We will see.
