Zoo, Park & Cotton Candy

We are always looking for ways to stay busy and active. Dave got some free tickets to the Beardsley Zoo. Dave's carpool buddy and family also wanted to go so we all got to go together and have a great time. We went really early on a Saturday morning and it was awesome. There was no one there and the kids could run everywhere and we didn't have to worry about losing them.

We love the park and I didn't get many pictures but a lot of video. The problem is, I am having a hard time uploading video. Taylor is riding his bike with no training wheels and has been all summer but I kept forgetting to take the camera to capture the moment. So, use your imagniation and see Taylor riding his bike. I will have to figure out what is wrong with uploading the videos.

We got cotton candy at the final summer party at Regeneron. The kids loved it and loved getting sticky.

Connecticut Fall!

We enjoyed the fall leaves on Conference weekend. The children had a lot of fun. Taylor loved to keep raking them into a bigger and bigger pile. Drew wasn't sure about it at first, he would just run through the leaves and never fall into them but he finally decided it would be ok and jumped in. Lana just loved it and got so dirty. Logan didn't get to enjoy jumping in the leaves but the mosquitoes enjoyed eating him. It was so sad.

Our sweet Logan!

How cute!

Pre-school

I decided Taylor needed to go to preschool for a social opportunity. He needed a little more experience playing with other children. He struggles a little in that area and we hope that preschool will help.

His first day went much smoother than I thought it would. He let me leave, I didn't expect that. He didn't cry and when I picked him up he was happy and said it was a lot of fun. I was so proud of him. When I asked him about the first day he said, he liked eating the snack, that when they pray (he goes to a Catholic preschool) they say Amen a lot and he was excited to go back the next day.

So, far all has gone well we are so proud of him. A few other comments from Taylor about school, "I don't like other kids playing with me," "Carly said hi to me but I didn't say hi back," "I can't do work at home because I have to do a lot of work at school, like...cutting stuff, gluing stuff and playing with toys and that makes me tired."

Boston

Our temple is in Boston so it is fun to make it a full day and tour the city afterwards. We left Lana and Drew behind with Grandma and Grandpa Bramhall. They had a fun day with them while Taylor and Logan came with us. We had a wonderful time at the temple and then we toured the downtown area, mainly the market. The street performers are amazing and the food is great. The water features were Taylor's favorite and I even brought his swimsuit this time.

Irene!

Hurricane Irene was my first experience with a dangerous hurricane and having to prepare for it. I learned a lot about preparing our home and yes I did stess a little. After all the stress, freezing a lot of water and filling the bathtub, we were forunate enough to have no problems from the hurricane.
With all the talking of the hurricane, Taylor decided to do his part. He made this fort for Drew and Lana. It was so cute.

Here is some pictures of flooding in our city.

Just some pics

Here are a few pics through out the last couple months!

Logan has grown so much. This is him at 2 months, straining to hold up his head. He is such a sweet baby and we love him so much. He is grabbing at toys, smiling, laughing, cooing, trying really hard to roll over, and does his best to keep his head up. The pediatrican told me his head is flat on one side so we are doing stretches to keep him from getting a helmet. He just started sleeping from 11p-5am, yahoo. And he still can scream. When he cries, he screams. We know when he is upset:)

These are the kids on Sunday, they looked so cute. We love the dress on Lana, it was handed down from a friend, thanks Ashley!

This is Taylor doing a campout with Dad. This is as good as it got this year, our backyard.

This is Dave's birthday dinner. We had a BBQ and got to eat outside. I unfortunately burned most of the dinner, sorry Honey, but I think we had fun.

More fun...

While we had some family here we had lots of fun. We went to the Candlewood Lake beach and tried to catch fish and were yelled at by the lifeguard. Most of the group went to New York, not me so I have no pics, but I know they had fun. We got out the slip and slide and a lot of soap. We had a good time with everyone. My children love having others visit and miss all the chaos. Love you guys!!!
